Unlike modern design, contemporary design is constantly developing to reflect current design trends. It incorporates elements of modernism, minimalism, Art Deco, and other worldwide styles without emphasizing anyone. Though the contemporary style is ambiguous, there are a few elements that help define the style:  Neutral colours, stark simplicity, precise lines, and organic forms are among the striking elements.

Minimalist design focuses on the essential. A minimalist building, object, or interior design is stripped to its core function, with limited materials, neutral colors, simple forms, clean lines, and an avoidance of excess ornamentation.

Rustic interior design is characterized by natural, aged, organic, and distressed elements. It is the opposite of modern or contemporary design. The style originated in the early 1800s when rugged homesteads were built in America’s countryside using handcrafted raw and natural materials.

Modern farmhouse design is similar to country style. However, while country tends to lean a little toward kistrchy modern farmhouse retains a certain level of sophistication. Country style also relies heavily on accessories, while modern farmhouse keeps them to a minimum.
